EV Charger Installation East Sussex

Local to East Sussex

EV Monkey installs home EV chargers right across East Sussex — from Brighton and Eastbourne through to Lewes, Hailsham, Crowborough and Uckfield. We're OZEV approved and NICEIC registered, so every install is certified to Part P. Unlike a general electrician, EV charging is all we do, which means faster fits and engineers who know every charger inside out. Most East Sussex homes are a straightforward install — upload a couple of photos and we'll confirm your fixed price within 24 hours, no site visit required.

Meet Jack

Who's behind the business?

Jack started in the electrical trade at 17. After qualifying, he built up his own successful electrical business from scratch in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. As EV installs became a bigger and bigger part of the work, he kept seeing the same problem: customers stuck trawling through electricians and quotes, with no easy way to tell who actually knew what they were doing.

Nearly 10 years into the industry now, Jack's known as much for how he deals with customers as the standard of his work — it's why the reviews look the way they do. EV Monkey exists so you get that same standard, without the guesswork.

Questions

EV charger installation in East Sussex — what people ask.

The OZEV grant now mainly covers renters, flat owners and homes with only on-street parking — most driveway installs no longer qualify. Either way, you'll get our most competitive price on the charger and install, backed by our price guarantee.

No — for East Sussex jobs we don't need a site visit at all. Answer a few quick questions about your property for an instant fixed price online, then we confirm details by phone or WhatsApp before booking.

The Sync is a solid, reliable everyday charger. The Ohme ePod is our most popular — smart scheduling saves money automatically. The Hypervolt is the premium build with the best app and longest warranty. Our survey helps narrow it down.

Most East Sussex installs are done in 3–4 hours. We don't double-book engineers — you get full attention on the day.

Yes — we cover East Sussex in full, including Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes, Hailsham, Crowborough and Uckfield. Not sure whether your specific town is included? Drop your postcode into the booking form and we'll confirm right away.

Absolutely. Plenty of East Sussex customers get their charger sorted before delivery day so it's ready to go. We'll confirm your car's connector type when you're ready, at no extra cost.

Installation across East Sussex starts from £899 for our entry-level charger, fully fitted with up to 10m of cable and a standard consumer unit included. It's a fixed price — no site visit, no hidden extras.

Usually not. Most East Sussex homes with off-street parking fall under permitted development, so a standard charger doesn't need planning permission. The exception is listed buildings or homes in a conservation area — let us know if either applies and we'll check first.
