Jack, founder of EV Monkey
Meet Jack
Who's behind the business?

Jack started in the electrical trade at 17. After qualifying, he built up his own successful electrical business from scratch in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. As EV installs became a bigger and bigger part of the work, he kept seeing the same problem: customers stuck trawling through electricians and quotes, with no easy way to tell who actually knew what they were doing.

Nearly 10 years into the industry now, Jack's known as much for how he deals with customers as the standard of his work — it's why the reviews look the way they do. EV Monkey exists so you get that same standard, without the guesswork.

No site visit needed anywhere in West Sussex. A couple of photos of your consumer unit and parking is normally all we need to confirm a fixed price.
The Sync is a solid, reliable everyday charger. The Ohme ePod is our most popular — smart scheduling saves money automatically. The Hypervolt is the premium build with the best app and longest warranty. Our survey helps narrow it down.

Installation across West Sussex starts from £899 for our entry-level charger, fully fitted with up to 10m of cable and a standard consumer unit included. It's a fixed price — no site visit, no hidden extras.
Usually not. Most West Sussex homes with off-street parking fall under permitted development, so a standard charger doesn't need planning permission. The exception is listed buildings or homes in a conservation area — let us know if either applies and we'll check first.
