Every quote is fixed — what we say it costs is what you pay. Here's what's included, and what can move the price.
All prices include supply and installation. OZEV grant (up to £350) applied automatically where eligible.
The vast majority of homes in the South East are a straightforward installation at our standard price. Occasionally, three things can add to the cost — we always confirm these from your photos before giving a final price, so there are never any surprises on the day.
Our base price includes up to 10m of cable from your consumer unit to the charger location. Longer runs require more cable and time — but this is straightforward additional cost, not a complication. We confirm the exact run length from your photos before quoting, so the price you're given already accounts for it.
Applies where: charger location is far from fuse box Typical addition: +£50–£150This is typically only relevant for older properties — usually those built before the 1990s — that still have an older-style fuse board with rewireable fuses rather than modern circuit breakers (MCBs). EV chargers draw a sustained 7.4kW load, which older boards aren't designed to handle safely. If your board needs upgrading, we'll quote for both together and can usually complete both on the same day. Most modern homes won't need this at all.
Applies where: older property with outdated fuse board Typical addition: +£400–£900This is entirely optional — only relevant if you already have solar panels installed and want your EV charger to automatically use surplus solar energy to charge your car before drawing from the grid. It's a smart add-on that can significantly reduce your charging costs further, but it's not required for a standard installation. We can advise on whether your existing solar setup is compatible at the photo assessment stage.
Applies where: existing solar installation Typical addition: +£50–£200The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant has been significantly tightened and most homeowners no longer qualify. However, if you rent your home — privately or through a housing association or local authority — you may still be eligible for up to £350 off installation. We handle the application on your behalf as part of the booking process.
As of 2024, the grant is now primarily targeted at renters and social housing tenants. Most owner-occupiers are no longer eligible. Here's who can still apply:
